Labor Day, for real
September 4, 2006
I posted my thoughts on Labor Day earlier this weekend, so now I’d like to spotlight some of the really interesting responses the holiday is generating across Blogitania. Suburban Guerrilla has its eyes on the prize, as does PSOTD. Geoff at Blog-Sothoth sees that the Republican war against organized labor (abetted, as always, by Democratic thumb-twiddling) has been so effective that people can barely remember why the holiday is called Labor Day. (Get a load of Bush appointing a Wal-Mart lawyer to head up the Department of Labor’s wage and hour division.) And Charlie Cray has some thoughts on what it means to celebrate Labor Day.
More as this develops. . .
