Meltdown Man

There’s always lowdown fun to be had watching Bill O’Reilly skirt the boundaries of an aneurysm yet again (how does the old boy do it?) but this video of his enraged reaction to being cited in the recent Bill Moyers documentary Buying the War deserves a wing all to itself in The Museum of Bogus Outrage.
As Jane Hall correctly notes, O’Reilly is most incensed by the fact that Moyers properly ignored his little softshoe about respecting freedom of speech before laying down a threat against anyone who dared to say the wrong thing about the War On Terra. Just like Carton and Rossi (see below), who preface their racist remarks by saying they’re not racists, O’Reilly’s talk of respecting open discourse ain’t fooling anybody except those who are already fools.

And of course, you will notice that while he complains about having his “qualifying” words cut off, but doesn’t allow Jane to qualify her answers. Nothing we didn’t expect. One day we will see “Bill O’Reilly” in the dictionary under “hypocrite,” for sure.
