When George II blew into New Jersey last week for a bit of money-grubbing on behalf of the state’s hapless GOP, his minions charged only five grand for a picture with the prez. That’s about half of what suckers got charged last year at similar events, and a fraction of the dough Team Chimpy charged at the two Republican national conventions. Frankly, I’m amazed they could find anybody addled enough to pay even that much. Considering that Bush’s unpopularity did a lot to undercut Doug Forrester’s gubernatorial campiagn last year, I’m surprised the boy emperor didn’t have to pay people to stand next to him.
