Who would Jesus discipline?

November 16, 2006

Unspecified “corrective action” has been taken against the Kearny high school teacher accused of using his classroom as a religious platform. Since it’s a personnel matter, I don’t expect we’ll ever know what the discipline amounted to. Read about it here.

WCBS newsradio ran the story most of the day. The kid’s father was far too generous. Paszkiewicz is apparently a popular teacher, but there’s no circumstances in which a public school history teacher should be saying, “In my opinion” & then digressing into that kind of religious chatter, not even if they were discussing the Scopes trial.

No, see the one thing that is missed here is not that unspecified “corrective action” HAS been taken, it “will” be taken.

It hasn’t yet, because until this hit the media and blogs, the Kearny BoE had every intention of sweeping this under the rug.
