Left Behind

February 26, 2007

An Inconvenient Truth is a great documentary and I’m glad it took the Oscar for Best Doc last night. I also enjoyed the way Al Gore played around with the silly rumor that he would use the Oscar broadcast to announce he will run for the Democratic presidential nomination. The guy’s already won one presidential election, so he has nothing to prove in that area.

But Gore’s movie has been very successful, and Gore himself has no trouble getting ink whenever he likes. It’s too bad a little stardust didn’t sprinkle down on another, less hyped contender. I’m thinking of one film in particular, but I’ll let Geoff here give you his thoughts, along with his reassuring personal perspective on a subject many of us find pretty alarming.

Gore’s old Senate seat is open next year. I wonder if he could unseat Lamar Alexander.
