Apparently thinking that people are not sufficiently terrified by the War on Terror, a group of sadists at a Tennessee elementary school told their young charges during a class trip that gunmen were trying to kill them:

During the last night of the weeklong trip to a state park, staff members convinced the 69 students that there was a gunman on the loose. They were told to lie on the floor or hide underneath tables and stay quiet. A teacher, disguised in a hooded sweat shirt, even pulled on the locked door.

After the lights went out, about 20 kids started to cry, 11-year-old Shay Naylor said. “At first I thought I was going to die. We flipped out.”

Principal Catherine Stephens declined to say whether those involved would face disciplinary action, but said the situation “involved poor judgment.”

“Poor judgment,” eh? These creeps need to have their asses kicked across the state line. And if they’re ever allowed near children again, the parents should sue them into the next century.
