The Bauery Boys

September 2, 2008

The St. Paul police are on a rampage, and their ostensible bosses in the municipal government — apparently caught up in the same Jack Bauer fantasies — are doing nothing to control the thuggery. In fact, they’re aiding and abetting it. Following a weekend marked by despicable, abusive house raids and harassment of protest groups, the cops have moved on to arresting journalists like Amy Goodman (above) as well as an Associated Press photographer and even Donna Brazile, a CNN commentator.  For a glimpse of how St. Paul’s finest do their job, check out this video of a young woman being pepper-sprayed for menacing an armored police line with — a flower.

Meanwhile, Mangy Cur News is pushing its “crazy lefties invade the heartland” line, even as it becomes clear where the real threat to law and order is coming from. Check out how this FreakNews hack whines when marchers treat him like the joke he is (scroll down the link).

One of the many Internet outfits that have been covering themselves with glory during this sleazy period is The Uptake, which has been providing a steady stream of on-the-scene video.

  1. Chucky Says:

There is now proof positive that the U.S. government was involved in the raids. Naturally the Liberal Media is silent — they were too busy fretting about New Orleans.

  2. Geoff Says:

This stuff has been going on at all the conventions for years. I was in NYC during Clinton’s big 50th birthday bash and even at that event protestors were coralled blocks away from Radio City (conveniently away from any media coverage) and they were treated in a similar manner.

Gotta love our militarized police forces.
